The Calmels name first became synonymous with elaborate stage sets and props for film and theatre in the 1960s.

Since then, the company has designed and created key pieces for a host of major West End productions – including Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera and Sunset Boulevard – and for the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, Madame Tussauds™, Disneyland Paris and Pinewood Studios.
